Kimber has a passion for Africa and for technology and development. With over 20 years experience in markets around the world, Kimber spent ten years working for Microsoft in various international, marketing, and business development roles. As Microsoft’s Large Account and Partner Marketing Manager for the region, she helped develop and grow Microsoft’s presence in Africa. After leaving Microsoft, she then moved into marketing for non-profit organizations.

Kimber relocated to Africa in 2006 to start Potential Africa, a social entrepreneurial organisation, focused on helping non-profits and small-to-medium enterprises be more efficient through the use of IT. NGOConnect Africa, now a Section 21 Corporation, was one of the projects developed by Potential Africa in conjunction with Microsoft.
