| EReadiness:Self Assessment Tool for NGOs |
Check your organization's level of maturity in the use of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies.)
This self-assessment tool is intended to be used by Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) of Africa. Appropriate use of ICTs can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of your organization, can help bring the digital divide and can act as a springboard to enable you to do things which would be impossible without this technology.
The approach is looking at ICTs in a holistic manner, as an issue of infrastructure, as well as human and organisational resources. The book helps you determine the level of maturity of your organisation in each of the three areas:
- Infrastructure
- Resources
- Utilisation
Then it takes you through practical advices on what to do to get on the next level in each of the areas.
This tool is produced by NGOConnect Africa, a non-profit organisation helping non-governmental organisations in Africa better achieve their objectives through the more efficient use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs). It consists of a series of wiki articles, orginally published by NGOConnect Africa, written by Van Belle of University of Cape Town, and adapted as wiki content. You can find the complete document in PDF format in NGOConnect Africa Resource Centre: Link to ICT and e-Readiness Self Assessment Tool.
